Supa Dam (Ganeshgudi Dam) - Dandeli Karnataka
Beautiful scene of Supa Dam.
Supa Dam is built across Kalinadi (Kannada) or Kali river in state of Karnataka in India. The dam is situated at GaneshaGudi, which is in Joida taluk of Uttara Kannada district. The power house at the foot of the dam has two electricity generators of fifty megawatt each. The electricity generated is supplied to different parts of Karnataka. The dam was built by Hindustan Steel Works Construction Limited (HSCL) and is now operated by Karnataka Power Corporation Limited. The power house was commissioned in 1985.
Please watch our below video, taken during rainy season and the dam doors were opened. It is beautiful scene to see the water flowing from the dam. Please watch.

DeleteLovely blog post. For those planning a nature retreat, a Dandeli Resort like Parampara Cottages Dandeli is a great option. I stayed there during a family trip and was really impressed with the peaceful atmosphere and adventurous activities. The cottages are super comfortable and perfect for couples or families. Plus, it’s located near many natural attractions. If you want a true forest-side vacation in Karnataka, this is the place to be. Worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteKarnataka is full of wonders, and Murudeshwar is one of the highlights for beach and temple lovers. I stayed at Murudeshwar Ocean Edge, a well-known Murudeshwar Resort, and it was the best choice. The location is perfect – just a few steps from the beach and the huge Shiva statue. The rooms are very clean and the service is excellent. If you're planning a visit, this resort is a great place to stay and relax by the sea.

ReplyDeleteKarnataka has so much to offer for nature and culture lovers. While reading this blog, I couldn’t stop thinking about Murdeshwar Resort – where I stayed during my coastal trip. It’s a great place to stay if you love the sea, temples, and a calm vibe. The resort is right by the beach and the temple is just a walk away. Great service and cozy rooms made it special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting North Karnataka.
